- Tally saw that the people that had taken her, were new Prettys.
- The new prettys were from a town close by, and they were rangers.
- They said there is a flower that is so rare, its worth more than a house.
- They use fire for everything, because it is the only thing that can kill the waste that the flowers leave behind.
- They said that they help the Smokies, and that the Smokies help them.
- They dropped her off in this field and she was thinking about Shay and Dr. Cable.
